Suggested Itinerary

Enjoy the peace of the early morning at the Killbuck Marsh Area. Fish or hike while the sun rises. Have a picnic breakfast while enjoying the birds and scenery. Then head north to historic Millersburg. There are plenty of National Register of Historic Places homes to see, like the G. Adams House, the G.W. Carey House and the Victorian House and Museum. There are also a lot of neat shops to see downtown like Maxwell Brothers and the Three Feathers Pewter Studio/Gallery. Take time to look around and see what else you can discover. With plenty of places to eat in Millersburg, it would be a perfect place to have lunch before you head off to the Rolling Ridge Ranch.

The Rolling Ridge Ranch is a good place for the family to visit. Kids will love the petting zoo, playground and wagon rides. Behalt-Mennonite Information Center is an essential next stop because you can learn about the Amish and why they live how they do. Just about the time you've finished at the Information Center, you'll be ready for dinner. The Alpine Alpa Restaurant is just up the road from the center. It's not only famous for its food, but for the interesting things you can see and buy there. You can also experience a bit of the Swiss culture.

Ohio Amish Country
American Driving Vacations
Theirs is a timeless way of life, laying lightly on the rolling hills as it has for countless generations. In Ohio’s Amish Country, authentic life moves at a slower pace, making each encounter, exchange and event special. In order to capture the authenticity, the Amish community worked directly with Traveling America to develop a special 4-day, 3-night driving tour though their region, to include the places where the Amish themselves shop, trade, eat and celebrate. As a result, you’ll be exploring small towns that haven’t changed substantially for centuries, complete with antique and craft shops, galleries and specialty stores. Many are businesses owned by the same family for generations. All take pride in their workmanship and high quality. And, of course, there’s the food! Whether it’s homemade hand-dipped chocolates, cheese, bakery goods or traditional meals, we’ve made certain you’ll have an opportunity to sample it all.
